It’s hard to believe that one month has went by already. It seems as if it were yesterday that we just started. Millions of thanks goes out to the staffs at Governor Baxter School for the Deaf for making this film a reality.
John Woodcock, the real caretaker of Mackworth Island, has been what we would call a producer’s dream for he has done everything he could to lend his helping hand with our production. We will miss you, John “Fine” Woodcock.
Roxy Baker, her Maine generosity has warmed us all. She was the mother to our production team where she welcomed us all at her place. Roxy is the reason why our production came alive at Mackworth Island.
Jon Connick, his sense of humor and undying energy has undoubtedly brought us to the end of the production. He was there for everybody when we needed his helping hand.
Bill Nye, he has brought color and warm hearts to the team. He shared a lot of history and stories with the team and that especially brought more value to the film as we were able to see how Mackworth Island got to where it is today and beyond. His fresh herbs from his garden gave joy to Kurt the IRISH chef’s foods. Thank you for that warm get-together at your place one night, we all needed it - a break and rest from the production.
To the rest of the team, everybody worked very hard and long hours. We had our ups and downs yet remained strong and supported each other to the very end.
It’s a wrap!
It’s a sad day and driving away and seeing Mackworth Island from the reflection of the rearview mirror has saddened us but the memory of everything will be cherished forever.
Mosdeux will be back to Mackworth Island soon to premiere The Caretaker.
On a final note, be sure to check out the picture galleries (Day 21 through 27 has been just posted).
